Expiration.

I think I’m done with this place. Hosting costs burn a hole through my pocket, and with Youtube to store my videos and free blog sites, I really have no reason for this site anymore. No worries, though. I’m just going to make an abrupt move to Blogger. It’s free and easy. Just like your mother.

(regards to your mothers)

My new blog is going to be much more visual. And simple. I feel it’s wise, now that I’ve decided on photography as a minor. Might as well get good and shut up. Let the pictures tell the stories.

This will be up until it expires (next year, I think.) Then I will just transfer the domain name….until then, you can find me here.

x Take it sleazy.

Me: God, now I’m gonna have to let that stupid guy make out with me because I’m so pissed.

This was said while I was angrily getting ready. Reverting back to casual wear, my senses returned.

But we went nowhere quick, so sad it makes me sick

In light of recent events, including being blown off by Weasley so he could try and “get with” some random skanks, and endless text messages that questioned whether we can even be friends now that made me want to punch someone, this song perfectly describes how I feel about us.

Girls are so weird. I really hate my gender sometimes. There’s always some weird need to play games, to seek your “revenge” in some roundabout (most likely slutty) way, and we blow things way out of proportion. I’m not like this. I’m really not.

Last night, I was. And knowing it just made it even worse.

On my way out to a party, dressed down as one could possibly be in a ratty t-shirt, jeans, and baseball cap, I receive a text message from Weasley’s friend randomly apologizing for seemingly (yeah, no seemingly about it) ignoring my calls last weekend, and then interjecting the whole “getting with skanks” thing as the reason why Weasley had been avoiding me.

Annoyed, I ripped off my hat, threw on the most revealing shirt I could find, and listened to “Smile” by Lily Allen while I angrily did my hair and makeup. It was one of those things though where no matter what you try to do, nothing looks right. Your hair falls flat, your makeup’s all wrong, you feel and look like crap.

Still, feeling like a misfit, I went out to dinner in the wet rain with Sam. We didn’t have a reservation and the place was too crowded, ended up walking a long distance (I looked like a drowned rat) and grabbing Tim Horton’s before going back to my house. By then I was less heated, ultimately not recognizing the girl with the frizzy hair, low cut top and black pumps in the mirror.

Defeated, I smoothed out my hair, took off the negligee (basically) that I was wearing, changed into a tank top and jeans, laced up my Converse, grabbed my hoody, and left for the party.

My animosity has got the best of me,
it’s been feeding on this sadness deep inside me
that will fade, I pray..

Industry of Cool

So, I’m still recovering from last weekend. Or so I tell myself.

(…I need something to excuse my lazy behavior…)

And I know this is going to blow your mind right out of your ass (ew) but I’m not a big partier. It’s only lately that I feel compelled to make the most of my college years. Being homeschooled throughout high school, I felt the need to make up for those years as well. Which means by the end of my college run, I’m hoping not to remember a damn thing…that will be the rate in which I measure my success.

In real college news, I’ve finally decided on a major. Journalism, with a minor in Photography. What I’m REALLY hoping to do is get those degrees under my belt while interning with either a photography/film company, and then getting hired on after graduation. Then maybe I can transfer somewhere in California or New York. I just applied for a photography internship for the summer, so hopefully they’ll get back to me by the deadline (June 9th). If that doesn’t work out, I’m also applying for an internship at a radio station. Not interested in radio broadcast, but I AM interested in going to free shows. That would be a good summer. I figure since I don’t have a job right now, it would be easier to just intern, and dabble in as many things as I can. I do have a job interview this Friday though, but if all my other interviews are any indication, this won’t amount to a thing. Oh well. I’m still happy. The world is my oyster and I’m going to shuck it! …or something. Corn? Wait, what am I talking about…?

Eric: How do you know that guy?
Me: Well apparently I have a doctorate in slutology.

Random guy #1: Did you see a guy run by here with a tap?
Torrek: No…
Random guy #1:: Dammit! He stole our tap! *runs off*
Random guy #2: (running up with a pan) I HAVE CAKE!

Cake Man: Never fear! Cake Man is here! Spreading the joys of cake! (throws cake at parked car)
Random guy: (comes running up with a mop) What’s going on here!?
Cake Man: Mop Man! You’re just in time! Get to work on that car!

Cake Man: You there! Civilian! Keep walking!

Cake Man: (attempting to tango) Wait, how come I don’t roll into you?
Me: Because I’m the girl!

Mop Man: You guys, why do I have a mop?

Me: I feel sick.
Alicia: Maybe you shouldn’t be rolling home at 5am.
Me: But I have to party…it’s my profession…
Alicia: As a student?
Me: Yes. I put in the overtime hours and I expect a big raise.
Alicia: What do you get paid in?
Me: …I dunno.
Alicia: You’re just that dedicated.
Me: Exactly.

(there was a funny quote involving Torrek becoming “Foil Man” and him doing something to “foil” some kind of nefarious plot, but I was too drunk to remember it…Cake Man was the best part of my night.)

The only way to make it in this town…is to SHAKE IT!

My weekend consisted of:

-cookouts
-beer pong
-chain smoking
-nerdy dancing
-(failed) parallel parking attempts
-racing in wet grass
-jazz club invites
-silly conversations
-imitating Kurt Cobain’s garbled lyrics
-keeping bitches in line
-porn’staches
-Spanish beer and limes
-Guitar Hero 3
-meeting second hand super heroes
-exchanging numbers
-literally rofling (it’s possible)
-pelting cake at a car
-dancing the tango
-piggy back rides
-stealing hats

Good times.

Our wholesome group picture at Sam’s family birthday party…before all the debauchery began…

Alicia: So wait…what does “milk shake” mean?
Me: What do you think it means?
Alicia: Oh my God! I can’t drink this now.

Down the rabbit hole...

This is an environment of welcoming, so you should just get the hell out of here. It's a place for me to spout random nonsense and benefit you all with my wisdom. I like to pause..............for dramatic effect. And I em-phas-size all the wrong syll-ab-les. If you're going to continue reading this blog, it helps to have a sense of humor, an open mind...and a British accent never hurts.
